ENERGY AUDIT OF ON GRID 480kW SOLAR PV SYSTEM

Abstract

Abstract: Solar energy is a renewable energy source. Renewable energy technologies are clean and meet the energy demand which is not met by conventional sources of energy technologies. At present electricity generation from solar sources is being reached a remarkable edge. The arrangement of solar panels which converts solar energy to light energy from the sun into electrical energy (charge emission) is called a solar power plant process. In solar plant there are many solar panels are connected in series and parallel and in panels there are many cells units which make panels. In which special metal is used which is in the form of lines and these lines are also connected to very thin lines and all these lines are connected to a metal line frame which is mainly quadrilateral in shape. So there is large area to trap light i.e. there is a suitable area for light to fall on it as the metal arrangement in large so fall on it electrons start's to emit from thin lines to metal frame and current goes into a diode which is behind the panel and then comes into supply wires. The objective of the audit was to study the energy consumption pattern of the facility, identify the areas where potential for energy/cost saving exists and prepare proposals for energy/cost saving along with investment and payback periods. The only limitation that solar energy possesses cannot be continuously used at night and / or non-sunny days without proper storage. Solar energy audit identifies opportunities to reduce the energy use and/or the cost of operating a building reduce the dependency on conventional energy uses. This help to decide which of the recommended solar modifications should implement, whether it's new construction, renovation, or retrofit; so as to make an optimum utilization of solar energy in a cost effective manner. Our objective of doing energy audit at, Sanjivani College of Engineering Campus, Kopargaon is to identify and arrest the wastage of electricity and to make effective use of electricity in college campus. The suggested solar energy audit method will prospectively safe guard the environment and reduce the burden on non-renewable natural energy resources
