REVIEW PAPER- PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF RCSTRUCTURE UNDER CONVENTIONAL SLAB, FLAT SLAB &PARTIAL FLAT CONVENTIONAL SLAB PROVISIONS USINGLINEAR STATIC METHOD 

Abstract

Abstract: In the rapid urbanization, the space constraints are always accountable in case of tall buildings. Earthquake hasrush of wind effects that make the building to be effected not only along vertical direction but also lateral direction. In recentyears, to enhance aesthetic view, various architects have started using flat slab in their designs. The rigidity of the structure isdiscontinuous at the soft storey level due to variation in the floor height. Flat slab structures are more convenient, economicaland provide better architectural visibility over conventional slab structure. But flat slab structures are flexible in nature andthus pose a threat to the safety of the structure which brings us to find a method to overcome this disadvantage. Therefore,perimeter beams are provided which imparts rigidity to the structure. The present research work focuses on the comparativestudy of conventional slab structure, flat slab structure and Structure with both flat and conventional slabs as it is necessaryto analyze seismic behavior of structure.Keywords: Flat Slab, Conventional slab, Seismic Analysis
