 PLC BASED AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTION & CONTROL SYSTEM


Abstract

Abstract: Themain objective of the study is to assemble a PLC based fire detection andextinguishing system and to find its performance. Such an automated PLC systemuses various types of sensors such as smoke detector, heat sensor to detectfire and PLC for control . Whenever fire generates in the zone where automated fire extinguishingsystem is present, due to fire, generated smoke will be detected by smokedetector and if temperature crosses a certain limit, alarm goes on for warningand solenoid coil get energized resulting in turning ON the valve of the highpressure carbon dioxide to extinguish fire. Latch circuit is incorporated tomake alarm continuous. This system is most effective for fire controlling and extinguishing.
