DETECTION OF EMI BY USING ASTFA AND WAVELET TRANSFORM
Abstract
Abstract: Electromagnetic interference also called radio frequency interference (RFI) is a disturbance that affects an electrical circuit due to either electromagnetic conduction or electromagnetic radiation emitted from an external source. EMI problems have been increasing with the proliferation of mobile electronic systems, wireless communication systems, and computer networks. In this project the use of adaptive sparse time frequency analysis and wavelet transform for fault and harmonic analysis is proposed. In this aproach grid current and voltages will be decomposed into different DWT(discrete wavelet transform) components and Frequency components. Decomposition into frequency components will take place by using ASTFA (Adaptive Sparse Time – Frequency Analysis). Amplitude of each component will be compared with certain acceptable threshold. If the amplitude of any of the component rises beyond threshold then fault fault occurrence is detected.
