SURVEY ON EFFICIENT DATA DEDUPLICATION ANDSECURE AUDITING DATA IN CLOUD COMPUTING

Abstract

Abstract: Data deduplication, a technique for removing redundant data by storing only one duplicate of a file, it saves a lotof storage and bandwidth for cloud storage providers. Individuals and businesses can outsource data storage to farawayservers using cloud storage services[11]. Deduplication has become a widely deployed technology in cloud data centers toimprove IT resources efficiency. An attacker can utilize the duplicate check to see if a file (for example, a pay slip with agiven name and salary amount) has already been stored (by someone else), exposing the user's personal information. Mostprior techniques that rely on the assistance of a trusted key server (KS) are vulnerable and limited due to informationleakage, low attack resistance, high computational cost, and so on. If the trustworthy KS fails, the entire system collapses, resulting in single-point-of-failure. In this paper, we develop a Secure and Efficient data Deduplication (name as SED) inwhich a collaborative cloud storage solution that provides worldwide services through collaboration with many cloudsWithout the help of the trustworthy KS, SED can update and share dynamic data. SED can eliminate the single-point-offailure problem that plagues traditional cloud storage systems. With minimal computing complexity, connectivity, andstorage cost, SED can effectively remove data redundancies. Keywords— Cloud computing, Auditing, Data Storage, Security.
