Abstract- Reading energy metres is a tedious and expensive chore. Currently, the metre readers visit each metre to manually take metre readings in order to issue bills that will eventually be uploaded into billing software for invoicing and payment. If the process of manually entering metre readings and bills can be automated, if mechanised, it would lessen the time- and money-consuming task.
